Please note! From 19 January, the museum will be temporarily closed until 13 February 2026.

Winter at the Open Air Museum
From 6 December 2025 to 18 January 2026
The Dutch Open Air Museum will be throwing itself into seasonal celebrations. For six weeks, the museum will be showing its most festive side, bringing to life Christmas, New Year, Chinese New Year and winter traditions from the past and present.

Admission prices
Tickets for the museum can be easily purchased online via our ticket shop. Ticket prices vary depending on the day of visit and age. Check the ticket calendar for the price on your desired day of visit.
If you order your ticket(s) online, you will receive a €1 discount per ticket. Already have tickets? Then all you need to do is reserve your visit.

Whether you want to tuck into a delicious lunch or just enjoy a coffee, or perhaps something stronger, you will find just what you are looking for in one of our cosy and atmospheric cafés. Do you require a gluten-free or vegan option or have other dietary requirements? Our waiting staff will be happy to tell you what is available.
During low season, only the Canon Café is open.

Visiting if you have a disability
The Dutch Open Air Museum and its historic buildings are accessible for wheelchair users. However, the museum park is on a hilly site and not all paths are paved. For visitors with mobility problems we have a (limited) number of wheelchairs, which are available to borrow in our car park.
