Tips to make your day even more enjoyable
Discover the new Children’s Activity Farmyard!
Are you visiting the Open Air Museum with children? In the newly renovated Children’s Activity Farmyard – opening on 28 April – you can find out all about the circle of life and how not to be wasteful. Discover ‘The World of Wiep the Worm – from poop to plant’ in the Flemish Barn. In the farmyard you can learn how to milk a cow and carry buckets with a yoke. Inside the farmhouse you will also find a special presentation about festivals, where you can join in with festival customs from different cultures.
From ‘Dutch apple pie' to ‘Zware Barrie’
A fun and educational day out is not complete without good food and drink. We’ve got this covered with a variety of catering outlets for you to choose from.
Take in the wonderful aroma of freshly baked bread on Zaan Square and enjoy pancakes at the cosy De Hanekamp inn, opposite which is a large playground where children can play to their heart’s content.
