During the last two weekends of May, the Open Air Museum will be all about the Little Crawlers. Discover a world full of crawling, buzzing, and wriggling creatures and experience just how special the natural world can be.
The World of Bees and Honey
Step into the wonderful world of bees and experience it up close. Discover how a beekeeper cares for his bees and how delicious honey is made. Then get creative and roll your own candle from real beeswax. Or learn about basket weaving and see for yourself how this traditional craft works.
Discover just how versatile and extraordinary bees really are.
Tiny creatures, big adventures
Join us on an adventure full of exciting discoveries! Head out to fish in the ditch and discover what lives beneath the water’s surface. Or maybe you’re brave enough to take it a step further and try tasting insects? In between, enjoy the children’s theater show “Beestjes” or stop by to see Wiep the Worm at the Kindererf. You’ll be surprised by just how fun and special the little creatures around us can be!
