September is harvest month!
At the end of summer, there’s plenty to harvest. Not just fruits and vegetables, but also hops: an important ingredient in beer. During Hop Day on September 12, you’ll learn all about this unique plant and the role hops play in brewing beer. Will you be joining us?
Hops from our own harvest
From 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., you can roll up your sleeves and help pick the hops. Our brewer and his team will tell you all about hops and the brewing process and provide hands-on guidance. You can also take a guided tour of the brewery and watch the brewer at work. This way, you’ll discover, step by step, how beer is made from hops and other ingredients.
After the harvest, a well-deserved reward awaits you: sample our own Openluchtmuseum beer in the adjacent café. And of course, you can also take a beer home with you.
