Activity: Make your own flag together
Who do we think we are?!
Families can be big or small, biological or chosen. Some have lived for generations in the same village, while others are spread out across the world. Families share traditional crafts, trades and hobbies, and pass them down the generations. Every family is unique, although they are more alike than they might first appear.
In the past, families, associations and companies used coats of arms, flags or signs to show who they were or which group they belonged to, and this tradition continues today. Set to work on a flag for your own family here: show who you are!

What are you going to do?
This activity consists of two parts:
1. Exploring the park (1 hour)
You will enter the museum with a booklet full of questions. Together, choose two or three locations that suit you and discover: What connects us? What are we proud of? And what do we want to show?
Along the way, you will come up with the first ideas for your flag.
2. Workshop in the Wagenhal (30 minutes)
In the Wagenhal, you will print your design onto a fabric flag using ink and stencils. Let it dry for a moment, and you're done!
The whole activity takes about 1.5 hours.
