What would you do?

What would you do?

What would you do?

You weren’t expecting that! Your mother refusing to help that fleeing soldier... “Much too dangerous!”, she said. “If they take me away, who's going to look after you...?”

In this group game for families, school classes or groups of friends or colleagues you will not only learn about history, but will also get to know each other better. You will come face to face with difficult choices from the past: whether to help a refugee during the First World War, whether to allow schools to close for Sugar Feast (Eid al-Fitr), whether to sail your trading vessel to China or Denmark... What would you do? And the rest of your family? How well do you really know each other?

The choices you have to make in the game relate to key moments from Dutch history: the Dutch East India Company, the Dutch Authorised Version of the Bible, the First World War, Willem Drees and colourful festivals celebrated in the Netherlands.
