Green Cross health centre

This true-to-life presentation stimulates all the senses. Outside the building you will meet the community nurse and inside you will come across the doctor. The smell of disinfectant and polish fills the air. Visitors are free to look inside all the drawers and cupboards.

The Green Cross building reproduces the atmosphere of public health care in the 1950s. This was a place where people could come to have a TB check, to visit their doctor, to attend a course or even to take a shower.

Technical information
Health centre with doctor's surgery, a storeroom from which items were lent out and a number of shower cubicles.
